2009 Charitable Giving

The 2009 Granville Homes Tour de Fresno Charity Bike Ride, held on September 19, 2009, helped generate $75,361 in charitable donations!  We extend thanks to our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and all the cyclists who participated in this successful inaugural charity ride.

Following the event, new racing bicycles, cycling components, biking supplies, apparel and clothing were secured and shipped to the Junior Olympic School of Cycling in Yerevan, Armenia, where nearly 250 children are being trained during after-school programs, preparing them to participate in Olympic and other competitions. The donated items arrived in Armenia on March 27, 2010.

More than 30 San Joaquin Valley businesses and organizations sponsored the 2009 Tour de Fresno, with Granville Homes acting as the title sponsor.
