Shaw Ave, suite 240 / 18 Fresno, CA 93710 - at the University of California Merced Building - located North East corner of Shaw and Mariposa St. accross from Fashion Fair Mall, just east of Fresno Street. On 41, Exit Shaw - head east toward Fashion Fair turn left on Mariposa St. The building is on your right.

DRIVING Direction for Saturday, September 13, 2014

From North - within the City / County of Fresno:  South on 41 or West on 168 to 180.  East on 180 to Temperance Ave. Exit and turn right on Temperance to Kings Canyon Road (First Light) Turn right on Kings Canyon Rd go ¼ mile to 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. (right side of the street) turn right to long private driveway to the Start line.

From Bay Area:  South on 99 - East on 180 to Temperance Ave. Exit and turn right on Temperance to Kings Canyon Road (First Light) Turn right on Kings Canyon Rd go ¼ mile to 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. (right side of the street) turn right to long private driveway to the Start line.

From South:  North on 99 to Clovis Ave. North on Clovis Ave to Kings Canyon Rd.  East (L) on Kings Canyon – Pass Fowler and Armstrong Aves.   To 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. on the left side of the road and to the long private driveway to the Start line.

From Central Coast: North on 41 to 180.  East on 180 to to Temperance Ave. Exit and turn right on Temperance to Kings Canyon Road (First Light) Turn right on Kings Canyon Rd go ¼ mile to 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. (right side of the street) turn right to long private driveway to the Start line.    

From East: West on 180 to Temperance Ave. Exit and turn left on Temperance to Kings Canyon Road (First Light after overpass) Turn right on Kings Canyon Rd go ¼ mile to 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. (right side of the street) turn right to long private driveway to the Start line.

From West: East on 180 to Temperance Ave. Exit and turn right on Temperance to Kings Canyon Road (First Light) Turn right on Kings Canyon Rd go ¼ mile to 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd. (right side of the street) turn right to long private driveway to the Start line.

Rest Stop Fare

All rest stops will have high-energy snacks, water and endurance drink mix.

Safety

The California Highway Patrol, Fresno City Police and the Fresno County Sheriff's Department will be on the course to direct traffic at key intersections. Be sure to follow all traffic laws.

  • No personal support vehicles
  • Trike bikes are prohibited
  • It is forbidden by law to block both ears with headphones, Ipod buds, etc.
  • Port-A-Potties are provided for your use at all rest stops
  • Helmets must be worn at all times while on the course
  • Please ride single file
  • Two water bottles, a tube, patch kit, tire levers, and an inflation tool are recommeded

Note: Unsafe riders may be removed from the course.

Pacelines: If you ride in a paceline, please announce "on your left" when passing other riders. Pass slower riders with at least three feet of clearance.

Post-ride Celebration Meal

A post-ride meal will be served to all riders.  Additional meals for guests may be purchased at the time of registration.  Meals will be served from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Accomodations

The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Fresno Clovis is located in historic Old Town Clovis, within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops in one of this area’s safest neighborhoods. Located just a few blocks from the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building, the hotel offers complimentary deluxe breakfast, wireless and wired internet connection in all guestrooms and public areas, and a refrigerator and microwave is an amenity that is offered in every guestroom on property.

The Holiday Inn by the Airport, Hilton on Van Ness, the Radisson Hotel on Ventura Ave, and La Quinta Inn on Tulare Street are within few miles from the Start/Finish Line. Drive east on Ventura - will become Kings Canyon Rd. Head east, pass Fowler and Armstrong and turn left on California Armenian Home at 6720 E. Kings Canyon Rd.  Since local hotels fill up quickly, make reservations early!!  The Fresno Convention and Visitor’s Bureau would be happy to assist you in making reservations.
